We offer both in our studio. This allows you to work on pure strength and refined control—a powerful combination for lasting results.

Pilates Noord was founded in 2018 by Eefje de Bruijn. Eefje discovered the power of pilates in 2006 while recovering from severe pelvic pain after her first childbirth. From her own rehabilitation program, of which pilates was a regular part, she learned to move better and her interest grew to delve further into the Pilates method and human anatomy and wanted to share this knowledge and experience. Before becoming a pilates instructor and studio owner, Eefje worked for many years as an independent designer and illustrator, entrepreneurship is in her blood. Eefje successfully completed the Polestar® Pilates mat and Polestar® Pilates comprehensive education. She has further specialized in pre- and post-natal pilates, pelvic issues, hypermobility and pilates during and after menopause.
Since October 2021, Özlem has become co-owner of Pilates Noord. Özlem studied economics in Turkey and moved to the Netherlands in 2012 for a job at a bank. Shortly after moving to the Netherlands, she started following Pilates classes. She fell in love with the method and completed the Polestar® Pilates mat training in 2014 and the Polestar® Pilates Comprehensive training in 2015 and has been teaching ever since. In Özlem’s class, you’ll get detailed instructions, get tips on anatomy and alignment, and discover all the little muscles you didn’t know existed.
We look forward to meeting you in the studio!
